For select projects, I offer private travel tattoo bookings, bringing my work to clients around the country so we can dedicate a load of time to one custom tattoo, without you having to travel to Denver. Maybe you can't take the extra time away from work, family, pets. Maybe coordinating and managing travel is an extra load between you and your tattoo.

This isn’t a quick guest spot squeezed between other appointments. Your project is the whole reason I’m there.

That might mean two or three consecutive days, depending on the project, giving us the chance to get into a rhythm and make serious progress.

So what does private travel actually look like?

​

It all starts with the consultation form right here. We'll talk through your ideas, references, placement, scale, composition and have a  direction ahead of time. I'll do the research and design homework to make sure we're walking into the first session ready to make something awesome.

If it's a fandom tattoo, I'm learning the lore. If it's a pet portrait, I'm studying those ridiculous little facial expressions. If we're building an entire fantasy world across your leg, I'm figuring out how all those pieces need to live together, what gets priority, and how we'll manage dividing the design  over three days.

Where do I travel?

​

My home base is Denver, Colorado, but I've traveled for clients and work in other cities and I'm open to planning private travel projects around the right location. I try to work with studios that are off main street, a little more private and quieter than a busy street shop. 

 

I've built private travel projects in Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego, Minneapolis and Chattanooga, and I'm always adding new cities to the map.

Why travel for a tattoo?

Because sometimes the right artist isn't the closest artist. And if you're already going to be budgeting time and energy for it, I'd rather make the effort worthwhile.

Instead of flying to Denver, finding a hotel, navigating an unfamiliar city and recovering from a giant tattoo while trying to call it a vacation, we can build the experience around you and the work. 

You get your own little tattoo residency.

I get to spend several days completely immersed in one project.

How far ahead should I book?

​

Private travel dates are limited and are typically planned far in advance because they require coordinating my schedule, travel, a host studio and enough consecutive days to make the project worthwhile.

If you're interested, don't wait until you've figured out every detail. Let's just start with the idea.

Tell me where you are, what you're dreaming about, how big you're thinking, and what you're hoping to accomplish.

We'll figure out the rest from there, with travel usually locked in 8-10 months in advance.
